1. Purpose of the service
Neokraal is an ecosystem for exchanging goods and services within a community, based on an internal unit of account called NK.
The service includes a personal wallet, a marketplace between members, and a network of service points (distributors) allowing cash to be converted into NK and back.
2. Account and access
Registration requires a valid email address or phone number, together with accurate and up-to-date information. You undertake to keep it accurate.
The service is reserved for persons who have reached the age of majority under the law of their country of residence.
Each person may hold only one account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for any operation carried out from your account.
Some features require identity verification (KYC). You agree to provide the requested documents, which will be reviewed by an administrator in your country.
3. Nature of NK
NK is a unit of account internal to the Neokraal ecosystem. It is neither legal tender nor an investment instrument, and bears no interest or return.
An equivalent in local currency may be displayed for information only. This display is neither a guarantee of value nor a commitment to convert at that rate.
Conversion between cash and NK takes place exclusively through the ecosystem's distributors, under the conditions and limits set by Neokraal.
4. Deposits, withdrawals and transfers
A deposit consists of handing value to a distributor, who credits the corresponding amount in NK. A withdrawal follows the reverse path, using a single-use, time-limited code. Settlement takes place as agreed between the member and the distributor — by hand, by bank transfer or through a local transfer service; Neokraal takes no part in it and keeps no record of it.
Transfers between members are immediate and irreversible. Check the recipient's reference before confirming: a completed operation cannot be reversed unilaterally.
Neokraal may apply limits, refuse or suspend an operation on grounds of security, compliance or fraud prevention.
5. Marketplace
Listings are published by members, under their sole responsibility. Neokraal provides the matching tool and is not a party to the contract between buyer and seller.
The purchase amount is held until the buyer confirms receipt, or until the set period expires, after which it is released to the seller.
In the event of disagreement, a dispute may be opened. It is arbitrated by Neokraal based on the available evidence, resulting in payment to the seller or refund to the buyer.
Listings are reviewed before going live. Neokraal may refuse or remove any listing that breaches these terms or the law.
By publishing a listing, you warrant that you hold the rights to the text and images submitted, and you authorise Neokraal to display them in the application for the purpose of matching buyers and sellers.
Struck-through former prices are recorded by the system from the prices actually charged. They cannot be entered by the seller.
6. Member undertakings
You undertake to use the service lawfully and fairly, and not to offer goods or services prohibited by applicable law.
The following are prohibited in particular: impersonation, fraud, money laundering, use of multiple accounts, price manipulation, and any attempt at unauthorised access to the system.
7. Suspension and termination
Neokraal may suspend or close an account in the event of a breach of these terms, suspected fraud, or a legal obligation.
You may close your account from the application, under Profile then Security, or by writing from the page provided for that purpose on neokraal.com. Closure requires a zero balance and no operation in progress: withdraw your balance at a distributor beforehand.
Closure erases your identity data, your contact details and your supporting documents, and removes your listings. The accounting entries of your past operations remain, detached from your identity: they are required for the overall balance of the books and cannot be deleted without corrupting the accounts of other members.
8. Availability and liability
Neokraal takes reasonable steps to ensure the availability and security of the service, without guaranteeing uninterrupted operation.
Neokraal cannot be held liable for disputes between members, nor for the consequences of negligence in safeguarding your credentials.
9. Personal data
The processing of your data is described in the privacy policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be amended. Any substantial change will be notified in the application. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
